About 97/2000 Foundation of VC

The 97/2000 Foundation of Vivekananda College is a charitable initiative formed by past students who sat for their O/L exams in 1997 and A/L exams in 2000. Our mission is to uplift deserving students through education and empowerment by offering scholarships and engaging in developmental activities that benefit the entire VC community.

Together, we are shaping futures, one student at a time.

We are a community of past pupils from Vivekananda College who completed our O/Ls in 1997 and A/Ls in 2000—brought together by a shared vision to give back to our alma mater. The 97/2000 Foundation is driven by the belief that education changes lives. Our mission is to support academically bright and financially challenged students, while also contributing to the growth and excellence of the school we cherish.

  • We identify students who achieve 9 A’s in their O/L exams and reward them with financial scholarships and mentorship.
  • We help promising students continue their Advanced Level studies by covering tuition and educational expenses—especially for those from low-income families.
  • We fund and support school events, sports, cultural programs, and extracurricular activities to build a balanced and vibrant school environment.
  • We strengthen bonds among past students and mobilize resources through collective effort, creating long-term positive impact for current and future students.
